The coat felt like wearing a thick canvas than a jacket.

This not the M-65 I wore in the Army; The fabric blend is different; however, it is a terrific jacket with more water resistance than I remember from the military OEM. It has the familiar button on lining, and the hood inside the collar zipper. Gosh I did a lot of hunting in that old jacket before I outgrew the thing. On this version of the M-65, the sizing runs large, which is a welcome benefit for this guy who wears 2XL standard. It is roomy enough for layers. I'd say a 2XL is more like a 3XL on other jackets. I just hope the durability is good.

This is absolutely one of the best coats I've ever owned. Extremely functional, looks great and not too heavy. I'm almost always “too hot” so I don't need a really heavy clumsy coat, not to say it's not warm, it is but it's just not heavy and bulky where I can't wait to get it off. The other day it was in the 20's and the wind was crazy, I put this on and didn't feel the wind one bit!! The liner comes out so you can rock it early spring and fall on those chilly mornings. I will say this, ORDER SMALLER!!! I am 5'11, 230 lbs with broad shoulders. I generally wear an XL shirt that's snug on the upper body and biceps, for hoodies and jackets sometimes I'm a 2XL. So I ordered one and it was for someone much much larger than me. Exchanged for an XL, still too big. I haven't worn a L anything in decades but with this? I'm a Large and it's still plenty big where I have room but it's not tight on my shoulders, it's still a relaxed fit, only this time it doesn't go down to my knees! Overall I'm very happy. I have a bunch of Rothco shorts and have some now for 3 years, washed after each wear and no holes, or loose stitching, maybe some fading on some of the darker color camo but that's 3 years and A LOT of washes. Quality stuff, don't bother with cheap imitations.

It seems to be well made and is comfortable and warm. I normally wear a 2XL but ordered the XL and it fits good. This one is made of better material than my first M-65 jacket. A cou0le of coats of water repellent should winterize it.

I expect to find quality like this at outlet stores. All the button holes for the liner were 2 inches low. Instead of throwing it out they sew them shut and made more holes.

It's close to being a military m65 but falls short. The liner is close but it's missing the button on the inside that it's supposed to have so it can be worn as a standalone. The jacket itself is close but the original m65 didn't have an elongated cuff with velcro on it. It's also a lighter material than the original m65. But overall it is a nice jacket.

I love the field jacket, very warm and comfy, riding my motorcycle in cold weather stopped being an issue now. The style is great and feels wonderful, I find it a bit heavy but once worn feels OK. As a plus, my friend said, it has that John Bernthal's Punisher looks xD. As per the size goes, I'm 6' tall who wears size L jackets, I'm glad I chose the M on this one, even a S would have done it.

I wore my dad's SI jacket for most of my childhood and I've always wanted to replace it. Some 15 years later, I bought this one from Rothco and couldn't be happier. Built the same, seems to be constructed very well, and the liner is easy to get in and out.The material takes a little bit of breaking in to get it to soften up, but that will come in time. Love it.

Love the jacket! I bought this for hunting and everyday wear at the hunting camp up in lower Alabama. Being from the beach in the panhandle of Florida it's doubtful i'll be able to wear it more than 20 days a winter. Put all my dad's Vietnam patches on it for remembrance. Stitching is good, liner is noisy but I can remove it and wear over a fleece if hunting in it. I'm an athletic 5'7 with a thick chest, broad shoulders and wide back so i normally wear size L in most shirts and hoodies but I followed the sizing on here and ordered a Medium. Good call they do run big. Fits me perfect with a little room to layer more. I like the price so much I think I'll order 3 more for Christmas gifts for my brother and cousins.

It runs big like all the others so if your an extra large make sure you order a medium but the cuffs are actually adjustable unlike the ones from propper.

The only reason it didn't get a full star review is the collar tab. The velcro patch to latch the collar tab is way back towards the back of my neck. It needs to be placed where the collar of the right side of the coat begins, not towards the back. Design flaw for sure. Otherwise, it's a fantastic piece of apparel and I will probably order the olive drab as well.

Overall pretty happy with the coat. I bought it primarily in for spring so I haven't tried it with the liner. Like the title says it does run a little large so some might want to buy a six we smaller than you usually wear. The fabric is a little stiff right out of the box. Looks good though and seems pretty durable.
