I normally wear a medium but I bought a large and I'm glad I did. There is no way a medium would have fit in the torso - a medium would have been too tight. I'm not talking about the sleeves, which are supposed to be long in all sizes - you are meant to cuff them.

Overall very comfortable. My two complaints are the sweater is very long and even after washing

I have always been a commando sweater enthusiast, looking for something to go with my work uniform. So purchasing this outwear was a good idea, and it fits right.

Everyone seems to have strong feelings about this sweater and its sizing. Also, this is probably my second review ever written, but I feel compelled to contribute after reading so many reviews prior to ordering and receiving the sweater. And disclosure I'm kind of a mannequin build very average build, v-shape, 6'1 and 190 pounds.This sweater fits great. Snug? Yeah. I ordered a Medium. I decided to not order a size up (or several as others recommended). The sleeves are not “6 inches too long and need to be rolled up.” It fits the way I expected to over my long sleeve Pilot uniform shirt. If you have a beer belly, bigger bust, overweight, not average build, etc etc then you probably need something different in sizing..! Duh.Overall, good quality. Have I had better in the military? You bet. But this is a good alternative. Could they do better for the money? Probably. But again, overall, I'm pleased. Good luck.

Fits great (per the other comments, I wear a size large but ordered a 2XL). Its very warm and is a good addition for our public safety pipe band.

Fits and feels good. Not the warmest sweater ever but adequate. Occasionally reminded that it's polyester.

It's a style I've always liked and it blends well with other winter wardrobe items for optimum warmth in our hellish Minnesota winters.

It's a good product for cost. It is very warm so prepare yourself. Better for cooler areas.

I purchased this to replace my ancient and battered 100 wool commando sweater. It's not quite as warm as my old faithful but I was surprised at the good quality and superior comfort of the acrylic example.As many other reviews have noted, the fit is very odd. I'm 5'10, about 175. Between a medium and large t-shirt (depending on brand). After much deliberation, I ordered the medium sweater. The torso is tighter than I'd like but the sleeves are ridiculously long (hence I was hesitant to exchange for a large). The elbow pads hit me at the wrist and I have to roll up the sleeves 6 inches.

A Little tight and kinda itchy.....I love it! lol.The itchiness is fine if you have a long sleeve underneath.......obviouslyRead the instructions before you wash!

This sweater is perfect for any 1st responder. I know there are usually many uniform restrictions depending on the company but this sweater is perfect. Its warm and looks professional. It was also super easy to get the patches on and the straps on the shoulder are great for holding ID tags.

No dis on the sweater, was great, just too small. Definitely order a size up.

Unfortunately, I had to return the sweater. I will say that it was very well made. It was just the wrong color which I ordered by mistake. I will purchase again, this time getting the blue instead of black

Perfect sweater for cold weather, under duty bullet proof vest. Ordered the Large for hubby (typically wears M) but this is worn over uniform shirt so we went with L. Upon opening it, I figured it would be returned and replaced with a M but the fit was great....with one exception, it's really long! See photos. This might not be a big deal to most but when you also have a duty belt on, along with the BPV the extra length is a bit cumbersome. Machine washable!
