The color is not black it has a smoky pale like Gray tinged to it or silvery. I'm surprised on the installation is very Puffy but not too much I think it's perfect. My other one had a deep dark blue tinge to the black. Overall a very nice coat good price and Hopefully it will last as long as my other one in which the zipper Broke.
