I needed these last minute when my department restricted wearing issued uniforms for extra-duty work. I wasn't expecting the greatest quality considering the price and being it is from Rothco, but it was the only option I would receive in time for my next shift. I was pleasantly surprised with these shirts. The material is a good quality. It is light and breathable, but well made and doesn't get runs as most thinner shirts do. It is Rothco so the seams on the inside are a bit bulky, but I don't experience any irritation when wearing a t-shirt under this shirt. The lettering is still as bright as the day I received the shirt and nothing has peeled or cracked after several months and washes. I sewed patches on the shoulder and the material has held up very well to them. Next time I need new off-duty shirts I will be reordering these for sure

This is a great fit excellent BDU top the reason for a four star is I want to get rothcos attention on 1 lil thing they may want to change and I did not catch it initially when you order there is rip stop and solid / military calls this warm weather/ cold weather the difference is ripstop is like a nylon easy similie is tent material and it's for warm weather and solid is more of a full cotton and would be considered cold weather I didn't catch this right away and it does make a difference in having a matching set when worn together, lucky for them I want both styles so I'm buying some of each I am not going down another star because this is perfect in almost every other way I just hope they read and maybe change why I put a four star they fix this ill goto five star.

The layout of the jacket is accurate to actual BDUs, but the ripstop is different. Instead of having little squares for the ripstop. However it seems to still be very durable.The jacket is also less breathable and a bit thicker than the actual warm weather military BDU it is supposed to copy.

Very similar, w/o the slanted chest pockets, to the Jungle Fatigue Jacket I wore in Vietnam. But, this is the BDU, Battle Dress Uniform (adopted 1980?) and is made of much heavier 55 cotton/45 polyester material. There are patches on the elbows. As Dave says, Buy once, cry once. This jacket should last you for your life . . . unless you stay too long at the table.

It's not up to par with modern BDU shirts but if you want to get the same type of look and feel that they had back in nam, this is it. But to make it really authentic looking you will need to remove extra layer of fabric on the elbows and remove the bottom pocket to just come close. I'm going to use it for airsoft not a reenactment so it's fine and will blend in with the rest of my gear. That stuff is actually from nam thanks to my grandpa being part of the air Calvary.

This is a great form fitting sweater. Fits snug with some stretch. Has both shoulder pads and elbow pads. Quality is pretty good! Have to get an Olive Drab one as well! This is a warm sweater that can replace some coats for warmth!

This was a really good shirt for our Halloween costume this year. My husband is 6'6 and finding the right fit for him can be difficult but this fit was exactly as described. The quality was good - the shirt was a little more of a sheer fabric than I expected but overall I was impressed. He kept being confused for a real police officer all night and we had a blast!
