As an EMT, I have been wearing the heavier, black cap by Rothco that has the medical symbol on the front. I wanted the same hat in tan, that could be worn in the dirt and dust. This hat was the closest I could find, but it isn't the same thickness or quality--kind of a light-weight version. It is also a bit shallow, in the way that it sits on one's head.I ordered a velcro-backed EMS symbol patch that fit on the front, so I am business. Again, it isn't quite the same quality as the other Rothco EMS cap that I wear, but was the closest I could find.

Great value hat, it has velcro for morale patches on the front, a velcro for things on the back...and velcro on the top...made what looks to be very durable materials! I plan on getting more in different colors!

It's great having the option to buy hats with the Velcro Loop already attached and ready for those patches. These hats fit great, look great and are reasonably priced. The selection is awesome also.

Bought it to replace the one I bought a few years ago. My original had a plastic buckle for strap adjustment - which broke when I used the hat as a fly swatter. If you've been to Iraq of Afghanistan, you know that becomes a habit in the field.Anyway, this is an EXACT replacement with ONE EXCEPTION. The back strap is velcro closure. If you're not a fan of velcro, bear that in mind.Overall...a good buy for the money.

I got this hat to wear for work, and it's held up well for a few months now. Soaks up sweat like a champ. This one has velcro adjustment, and is pretty soft; not nearly as scratchy as some other similarly-priced caps (like Voodoo Tactical). The fit is pretty low-profile, more like a ball cap than a trucker hat, which I like. Good patch real estate, too. About 3.5in W x 2in H on the front panel, and about 3.75in W x 1in H on the rear nametape panel. Also has a patch on top for IR tape, or a tactical propeller, I dunno. For the money, go ahead and grab 2, Rothco did good on this one.

For $9 good luck finding better hats. I removed all the Velcro off mine then tried to iron on a sports team logo patch. It didn't take to the hat material. I ended up using E6000 glue. Excellent fit. Better than Condor.

Everything was good, the comfort, the color of exactly what I wanted, but the velcro part was not centered and when I placed my flag on it, it was way off (also had to buy the flag separate) don't have time or patience to send it back.
