I ordered the Rothco vest after searching the internet and finding several styles of vest, most designed for fishing, photography or other activities. Two brands seemed to be best for travel with a smooth exterior and multiple interior pockets for items needed when on the road or going about daily activities. The highly rated more expensive vest had multiple reviews complaining about zipper malfunction and too thin fabric. I therefore ordered the Rothco large ( I am short and rotund) and found it snug with a long sleeve sweat shirt. I then ordered the extra large, which fit fine. I ended up keeping both because the large worked great with a polo for summer travel and the extra large is great with a thicker long sleeve shirt. I have used them for travel and daily activities and everything works perfectly. Also, the two vests cost less than one of the more expensive model.

Wore this on a trip to Africa, through airport security inspections, on lengthy plane flights, daily on travels through the country. Kept my travel docs, money, meds, personal care items, etc. secure on my person and readily available. It was a little warm when temps got up into the 80's, but the peace of mind was definitely worth it! I recommend it highly.

I've been looking for a good vest with a lot of pockets to wear for work. Normally I buy like a photographer's vest but as many as pockets as this vets has, you really can't see them, other than the to side pockets and the one on the chest. As I was reading the reviews I noticed some one mentioned that the sizes are a bit on the larger side and suggested to purchase a size down from what you usually wear. I normally wear an XL but decided to listen to their suggestion and order a size down. It fit perfectly! I'm actually thinking about ordering another one just to have it and alternate between the two so they'll both last longer. It's simple looking but it serves my purpose.

I was looking a light vest that could easily but thrown over a hoodie or thick shirt during the winter or worn with just a t-shirt during the warmer months. This fits perfectly and the multitude of pockets is an added bonus. I haven't carried a lot in them yet but from what I can tell the vest distributes the weight evenly.
