Not really an advocate of so many hidden pockets. Good for security but inconvenient! Seems to be well made. Having no collar would have been better for me. The standup collar is not comfortable for me. I purchased for travel, undercover not so much.

bottom is too wide, no way to keep it tight against your body

Runs a bit large. Order your true size. Vest is too heavy/ thick in hot environment. The pockets are a plus. No need for a daypack anymore.

I was pleased with the vest and used it almost daily on a European trip this summer. It was light and had all the pockets I needed for wallet, phone, etc. Perhaps more color choices would be good.

It's an excellent product, I can carry quite a lot of equipment inside the vest with all of the things I carry the vest is well balanced when full, and not uncomfortable at all.

Nice quality construction. Looks rather plain which is good cause it should match most shirts and/or pants you might wear with it. Plus its not fancy so it will not draw attention to you as tourist. Not sure what the zippers out the outside in the back are about? I'm 6ft, Chest 42inch, Waist 36inch, no belly and the Large fits just fine.

The inside pockets are great. BUT the material is very heavy and not very breathable, and the cut is outlandishly boxy and skirty. Very unflattering on anyone except King Farouk.

Bought this for use on an upcoming Euro trip. Bought the largest size figuring it would allow for stuffing a bit more miscellania into it and still allow it to drape properly. Glad I did as I think my regular 2X size would have worked but looked a tad lumpy if I crammed everything into it. Looks to be pretty well made (for a product made in China). Since they make tons of gear for the military, I figure it should hold up fairly well.

I just got this item and I must say I love it already ready. It definitely is serving its purpose.

Light weight, great for travel, not bulky, pockets so much easy to retrieve 'stuff' (passport, tickets, tissues, phone, etc) from than a handbag.

In July of 2015 I bought a ExOfficio Flyq vest Lite Khaki large for a trip to Africa. I did not want one with pockets hanging out for lenses and such. I am a 44 regular about 200# 5'10". It was snug but I really liked it. It was very important that the luggage only weighted 10 kg (22 pounds) so heavy small electronics went in the vest. Now heading to Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Russia, and Iceland for about a month. I thought a slightly heavier vest would be ok in cooler areas and I got the Rothco large. Frankly brilliant. The flyq is light, but not that much lighter. The Rothco is very roomy, at the same size purchased. The pockets are virtually identical except there is only one zip breast pocket instead of 2. No big deal. On our weight limited flights I am confident I can offload external batteries, smaller backup cameras, phones, etc to this vest and 1- they wont show, and 2- the vest will not be tight. I have not washed it yet so I don't know how it will hold up. Testing all the zippers they feel pretty substantial. There is room for my ipad mini and a kindle fire 7, and the other stuff i mentioned above. Not to mention, the Rothco was $20 less this week than the ExOfficio was 2 years ago. Update- Ipad mini with leather case and keyboard in the left lower pocket, Kindle 7 in the right lower pocket, galaxy note 4 left inside upper, Nexus 6 right inside upper, and several pockets left to use. The black and slightly large in size hides it better than my travel buddies Scott Vest.

Comments by previous reviewers about sizing were spot-on in most cases. I like the fit of the vest, the pockets are as advertised and useful, and I plan to get a second one in black.
