I am a (casual) hiker in Florida, which means I need to take water with me on even my shortest walks. My giant Nalgene wide-mouth bottle just wasn't cutting it, so I purchased a Nalgene canteen and this canvas holder to go with it.At first, I was worried that the holder wouldn't fit, but once I got the bottle in, the snaps provided a snug and secure fit. I haven't had any trouble with the snap closures at all!The strap is adjustable. The outside is a nice, sturdy canvas, and the inside is fleece-lined. I can't say that the fleece does anything to insulate the water, as my plastic canteen still gets to room temperature within an hour. Oh well. If I was really worried about insulation, I'd get a fancier bottle.I haven't been disappointed with any of my Rothco purchases so far.

I got this for the 32oz Nalgene Oasis bottle and it fits perfectly. The canvas is soft and the interior is lined with soft felt. It has a shoulder strap but no attachment loops.

Convenient sling case for Nalgene water canteen. Easy to snap on/off and carry over shoulder. Easy to drink while walking. All good except strap allows for bottle to hang up side down. My wife added a few stitches to keep bottle upright.

I read a review from a dissatisfied customer who reports one of the snaps pulling out on the one he got. Mine, however, is rugged and sturdy. It fits my Nalgene like a glove. I love that it is lined with fleece to insulate the canteen on hot days. The stitching looks sturdy. I have had it for a week or so now and have carried it on several long walks and hikes. Overall, it's exactly what I needed.

I like most everything about these except that they aren't exactly olive drab, but other than that. They'll do just fine.My 1 quart Nalgene canteen fits perfectly.
