I held it up when it arrived and my son insisted I put it on him. He then proceeded to stomp and roar around the room for about ten minutes.

It's quite warm and he probably won't need clothes on underneath unless it's very cold out. The feet go on top of shoes and have a velcro strap to keep them in place over the shoe. The small size fits my son beautifully. It has room for him to grow, but it doesn't look huge on him. He's in 3T and tends to be tall for his age.

The roar button doesn't matter to him, as he prefers to roar himself. The button roar is not overly loud, but you can hear it if you're nearby. Even with the roar feature, the price was right and the costume quality did not disappoint. The details (teeth, spines) lay flat when it arrived (see image), so you may have to press them to get them to stand up like they're supposed to, but it's a great, sturdy costume that my son will definitely get more use out of than just Halloween.
