I had a little trouble getting this to fit in my '79 CJ5 Frankenjeep. Its fiberglass tub has a lip along the front of the wheel well that prevented the riser bracket from both sitting flat on the floorpan in the back and aligning correctly in the front. I resolved the issue by inserting a couple of 2 x 2 x 3/4 wood spacers under the back two bolt holes, which elevated the back of riser bracket enough to clear the lip. The new seat certainly sits higher now than the DIY seat set-up I inherited from the PO, but my wife is short, so that's OK. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase and installation, but I hesitate to similarly replace the driver-side seat, as the top of my legs already barely clear the bottom of the steering wheel.
