I didn't want my CB taking up the limited space under the dash or bolted to the console, and this little bracket solves the problem. Kind of wondered if it would be flimsy with the weight of the CB on it, but not so, it's really solid.

The bracket itself is sturdy enough, but get some metal nutserts or rivnuts or whatever you want to call them. If you use the well nuts it comes with, the bracket flops up and down badly. Very loose fit. With nutserts it's solid.

While this product does the job, it will require additional hardware to work properlyFirst off you do need to drill out the rivets in your windshield frame. BUT DO NOT USE THE 3/8” DRILL BIT. Instead toss out those cheap rates beer well nuts and get a proper sized rivet nut (nutsert). Drill the hole to the required size for the rivnut you are using. Other than that it's a decent mount that does the job for a small Jeep CB radioIf you use the rubber well nuts it will fail and your CB will fall I hope this helps out

You get what you pay for. The bracket fit nice, the rubber insert nuts are a little cheap, the CB bounces around when driving down a paved road. Off road Is worse. My CB is only 3.6 pounds.
