I opted for another Rule bilge pump switch for my DIY backup sump pump system. This new switch will replace the one I had which was still working but had aged out. The switch is well put together, feels solid and is compatible with the side mount fitting (for Rule pumps) that came with the previous switch.

These are much nicer to install compared to the older switches -kind big for smaller boats-the removable base make rigging simple -have had better luck with these compared to the super switches rule sells-

Worked perfect. My old one stopped working and just clicked with no power. Crimped to the existing wires and it fired right up

My old 25 year old Rule switch just up and gave up the ghost! Dang! Replaced it. I should be dead before this one gives up! Excellent!

The video will show you not one but two stuck float switches hooked to two different 2000 rule pumps. Just a little grit and they stick. Going to remove and replace with the “ultra switch”. Been around commercial shrimp boats my entire life and these switch’s (the ones shown in my video. The rule blue)Have been awesome in the past. No way these are the same units built 10 years ago. About sunk my boat. I turn the manual switch on is why it’s pumping. You can see them both in the down position

It snap right into place. The hardest part is water proofing the wires. I soldered the wires together and used resin filled heat shrink tube. So far so good!
