Mission: The Rural Development Institute (RDI) is an international nonprofit organization working to secure land rights for the world’s poorest people, those 3.4 billion rural people who live on less than $2 a day.   For over 40 years, RDI has partnered with over 45 developing countries to bring land rights to the poor in a peaceful, fair and democratic manner.   To date, RDI has helped provide secure land rights to more than 400 million of the world’s poorest people.

Results: RDI has helped over 400 million people in over 47 countries. (over 120 million families)

Target demographics: The world's poorest families, those 3.4 billion people living on less than $2 a day, most of whom live in rural areas and make their living from agriculture.
