Only used once so far. Worked fine. Snug fit. Good soot removal action. Just about the right number of strong, stout bristles. Any more and I'd need help changing direction. Fortunately, my flue is straight up/down, no bends.

This is well made easy for DIY save money cleaning your own 6 duct. I use a long piece of standard 1/2 inchEMT electrical conduit and pipe fitting to thread the brush on. Works great!!

Our wood stove pipe was installed with an angle to go around a roofing joist. This brush did not get bound up at the angle and cleaned up 2 years of use in 2 passes.

If you have a stainless steel chimney liner, you cannot use the normal steel cleaning brush. Steel brushes will score and gouge the thin stainless steel used for the liner. A poly brush is what is required. The bristles are stiff enough to scrape off the soot and creosote, but not hard enough to damage the stainless steel liner. This brush meets those requirements.

The ease of use was the big item. When you're on a roof, you don't want to be wrestling with some cumbersome tool. Fifteen minutes, we were done. Wood stove flue was nice and clean.
