Exactly what I was looking for: a small, compact, sturdy broom that I can use for quick clean ups on my patio. I'm 5 feet tall so this is really not that small for me personally, but for those who have complained about the size I suggest that you read more thoroughly before making a purchase. The size is clearly stated.

This broom is small enough for a little child to use. But I find it's more convenient to sweep my small kitchen floor (12' x 6') than to use a big full-size broom. It seems well made and I like the suggestion of one reviewer to pull an old sock over the top of the straw to keep it in place. My broom measures 3834; from floor to top. It has 3 lines of stitching across it.

I have several Thevitia trees in my back yard which provide lovely shade but are quite messy with dropped leaves and flowers. This little broom is perfect for me to use to drag along the sides of the pool where the leaves and flowers stick. One lap around the pool and the mess is headed towards the skimmer basket. It is the perfect length and weight for me to reach the top of the water. I have a telescoping pole/skimmer but it's big and heavy and cumbersome and this little broom has worked perfectly for years.
