Very similar to original Honda tank. The cap is sturdier and the gauge is far better and more accurate than original. User must remove (simple with adjustable wrench) metal fitting from old tank and place on this tank. Used now for approx. 9 hours and two full tanks.

Bought this as my spare tank, works wellz durable and nice quality vent screw that won't wear out. Please note that certain arrangements of connector (right angle Evinrude/Johnson/omc connectors) may require you to loosen the gauge and connector assembly to have clearance to install. A straight, non right angle omc connector won't require this extra work.

Bought this to use with my Tohatsu 9.8 4 stroke that sips gasoline. Works great! Some reviews complained about the vent, I have had zero issues after 50 hours using this tank.

This boat gas tank LEAKS from the fuel gauge the first time the tank was filled. This makes it completely unusable.

Gave up on venting the gas cap. One of those stupid EPA caps, it just would not vent. Had to spend $16 and buy an old fashioned cap with a regular screw vent top.You have to take out the fuel gauge fitting to screw in an appropriate quick disconnect. Works fine but noticed that the fuel gauge broke. No biggie for me as the tank is under a rear deck and you cannot see the gauge anyhow. Maybe I take it apart and check. Maybe not.

I use this for my 5hp Honda outboard. Fits between the back seat and transom very nicely. Only problem that I have had is that if I fill it my engine stalls. Not sure why the fuel does not feed well onto the engine when full, but it doesn't. Yes, the gas cap air valve is open. I keep about 2 gallons of gas in this tank instead of 3 and then I have no problems.

You must use hose clamps to attach to the tank. If you don't fuel expansion (from ambient temperature change) causes fuel to leak out of the fuel fitting.

Replaced a 6gal tank with this. Heck of a lot more room for wife in her area of boat. Used my original line off large tank. Works great. No leaks. Really.
