It's a little large for a 40-60 hp outboard but it does bring the bow down quickly. If you have a jack plate make sure the engine all the way down when you do your hole-shot or the prop will spin out. Raise it after you get to speed. The same thing goes for the engine's power trim, adjust it al the way down when you take off.

Mounted on a johnson 115hp did have to drill holes but was ez... boat was tilting to the left pretty hard is why I changed the old hydrofoil to this model. Took the roll out and absolutely changed the feel of the boat. Stability and handling was improved greatly. . Did loose a couple m.p.h. probably the best upgrade I've done to my bass boat to date.

Have a 19' deck boat, was uncomfortable to ride in and hole shot was pathetic. After buying decent hardware to replace the trash bolts it came with, this thing brought my body to life like I never expected. Just buy it now, you won't regret it!

I was having trouble with my boat getting on plane and when it did get on plane it would porpoise pretty bad. I added two 10' power poles and a jack plate on my boat. This is reasoning for my issues. After reviewing several options I decided to go the cheapest route and add this to my motor. Boy am I glad I did. Not only does my boat get on plane, it rides sooo smooth now once on plane. If you are having trouble with your boats performance such as I, I highly recommend this product!!! 5 all the way! Not to mention it's easy to install!

The handling characteristics of our boat has completely changed. It is on a plain almost immediately. The bow doesn't obscure our visibility of the lake when throttling out of the hole and our youngest is no longer frightened. It is a pleasure to take tight turns and you no longer need to finesse the throttle at low speeds while trying to stay on a plane and pull young children.

Was a dog out of the hole till I put this sport 400 on. Come right up on plane, is better on gas and have noticed no loss of handling. Highly recommend. Oh also, no drill is great, this thing goes on in ten minutes and cranked down right it is not loose and has not come off.

It used to be difficult to get the boat to plane out with a 200 pound guy wakeboarding behind. Now it's not a problem. I can tell a difference when cruising as well.

I have a 50HP Merc outboard on a 14 Boston Whaler Dauntless. It is a brand new engine and did not want to drill holes in the lower unit, so went with the mounting kit. So far it is holding up well, and does what it's supposed to do. Planes quicker and keeps the boat from dolphining. Installation would have been easy if it was on land, not my floating dock. Did not seem to line up all that well with the engine, but works.

This hydrofoil helped get my boat on plane faster and stayed on plane at slower speeds. I have a 175hp Evinrude outboard.

It helped to stabilize my old 18' Bayliner Capri. I am able to get on plane faster than the old wing from another manufacturer. Plus it doesn't want to tilt as bad when turning. Made are old boat feel a little bit more stable and safe.

To be honest I was skeptical and the clerk at the boat dealer had nothing good to say about these fins.But, my boat planes faster at lower speed. The porpoising is reduced. No impact on top speed. Boat turns smooth.I wish I had bought this 20 years ago - a must have.Installed on SeaRay 185 with mercruzer 4.3l 190hp with Alpha drive.

Installed on a 50hp Tahatsu. I was having issues with getting step when my boat was empty due to weight distribution. Installed this at the recommendation of the dealer, it has made all the difference. I now get on step faster and once I trim the boat out it cruises well at lower RPM than before which save fuel. Very happy with it. Note I drilled holes as I did it want to take the chance with the clamp on installation and lose it.

I bought after seeing someone post this on a boating page and then the positive reviews had me intrigued. I have a 2021, Tahoe, 1950 that has quite the front end lift when you start out. This changed all of that. Very little to no lift now, even with 3-4 people sitting in the back and none up front. I was quite impressed!! Install (no drilling option) was easy and a perfect fit. After running it for 2-3 days on the lake I was pulling and wiggling it to see if it came loose.that thing wouldn't budge. It made water sports (knee boarding, wakeboarding) easy to get going and I swear it even gives it a smoother ride when you hit another boat's wake. You can't beat the price and I feel it's a must buy for any water sport boating and engine (mercury 150). Update to follow with photos
