Drilled 4 holes for install - easy! This cured my cavitation problem on my pontoon.

Okay, there is a million reviews here so I wont go too much into detail. But this fit perfect on my mercruiser gen 2 alpha outdrive.This is the the better option as opposed to the clamp on (those come off, these hold on and last)Definitely helps get you to plain faster and also completely covers the prop (for those of you with a fear of putting your feet down off the stern even when idle)The one thing no one seemed to mention is even though wake is more controlled at speed.... at slow speeds you create noticeably more wake. Even at 6 knots it looks like I'm going 15 out of the marina. I keep the trim all the way down when leaving the bay just to decrease the wake it makes. Just an fyi for those of you wondering...All in all definitely a good product at a great price and definitely recommend.

Installed the SE 300 on a Johnson 115 in 15 minutes or so. Wow, what a difference.....it does what it claims to do. Great deal at $60....PS...this may be the first review I ever wrote at 64 years of age. Buy one before they are gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other than the screws being a little short, easy to install, just wish the screws where a tab bit longer... like a1/8 longer. Boat handles better than before.

It works great! With out one, I had to ask for someone to step to the bow, to help plane my boat. Now nobody needs too.

This took my time to plane from 18 second to around 5 and no more not being able to see in front of the boat. Best investment I've ever bought for a large fiberglass bass boat.

Installed in 20 minutes with a right angle drill. I have a 20ft deckboat with a merc 5.0 250 horse power inboard. I would get about 35mph and would plain out around 15mph...now...at 9mph I am on plain and am doing 43mph and boat feels so much smoother and the steering is just..well sporty and quick. I love it and will recommend to anyone.

I installed this on my boat to for better pop out of the hole.This thing works !!! DID I SAY IT WORKS ?? Try this before trim tab, its way easier to install.I did drill holes to my fin for permanent install. I will do it again.My steering have improved as well, I am not sure why... Twice the fin serve as a shield protector when i got too close and hit the dock. Recently scrape shear walls at Lake Powel and it protected my outdrive. It is also like a propeller guard when jumping off the back of the boat.

works really well. My main purpose for this, was my youngest son many many years ago fell off of my 4 wheeler and hit the brand new stiletto prop on my outboard. He fileted about a 8in vee cut on his shin all the way to the bone. Now ever outboard I own get a whale tail just to prevent another accident like my son's!!

Heavy 19ft. Chris Craft with a5.7 merc. Cruiser. Was really putting the bow up when taking off. This helps it plane off in no time very happy.
