great product but inaccurate after a year, minor issue but disappointing that a cheap digital watch for a fraction of the price is more accurate. the extent of the time change is well beyond the reported difference of loss/gain at 15 seconds per month.

The watch was in good condition physically, but it is not working at all!

As an engineer, I have a fascination for purely mechanical watches. Sure, a $3 quartz watch will be cheaper, lighter, more accurate, and generally all around better. But it won't contain an intricate assembly of wheels, springs, and levers that regulate the hands in a purely mechanical way. The second hand will only beat once a second, instead of 4 or 8 times like an automatic. In our increasingly computerized world, the one reason to own a mechanical watch is obvious.This was my first mechanical watch back in 2014, and it is a pretty decent one. I wish the dial had hours on the outside instead of minutes. I wish the watch could be manually wound instead of only automatically. Some people might wish the watch was a little bit bigger, but I prefer smaller dials personally. For a Grant note back in 2014, this was a great deal. The current price at time of review is more than twice that, at which point I'd strongly consider picking up a used Orient Mako, which was in fact my second watch.

So I wanted something for everyday wear and was an automatic. All the research I did (blogs/youtube) led me to the Seiko 5 line and this little watch is fantastic. Keeps time well, nice build and very simple in design and easy to read. The band is decent, not the greatest but not the worst that has came with a watch so I do intend on replacing it at some point down the line. Power reserve is solid as well and with daily wear, I haven't had any issues with maintaining its power to function. If you are looking into a solid automatic watch and not break the bank, I highly recommend the Seiko 5 line. Most Seiko 5's I have seen vary in price but most of them remain very reasonably priced. They do have a newer line of the Seiko 5 starting with SRP in the model code, even still, this watch is still worth every penny.

I bought this watch as my first automatic, Knowing it wasn't going to be the most accurate compared to similar quartz models. However, I've found myself wearing this watch more than all of my other watches due to its general appearance and its timekeeping.Once a week, I go to (Time.Gov) any sync it to the standard Atomic time. With that being said, I've only found it to be off by a negligible amount during a weeks time, not enough for the general ley person to fret about it.It was smaller on the wrist than I anticipated, but I've come to appreciate its smaller size and attention to detail. Its a beautiful watch and a true daily beater for me. I work outside in various conditions and settings and found it to be applicable in all. I swapped the strap out for a (18mm Richie strap) which was all that was needed to make it a daily wear in my book.For as cheap as it is, just purchase it and appreciate it later.

I bought this watch in 2009 (spent $85 then), 13 years later and I still wear it almost every weekend with satisfaction. Its a total work horse watch. I wear it mostly on the weekends or on trips where we're gonna be spending a lot of time out doors; in the woods, on the beach, etc. I've run with it, swam in the lake with it, worked on the house with it. I outfitted it with a Bond watch strap and I get compliments on it all the time. I wish it had some sort of illumination factor for the dial. The dial will glow in the dark for a bit if its been exposed to enough light prior to it becoming dark but its not a reliable feature. Still, total worth it watch.

This watch is excellent for every day use. Thin and light enough to go unnoticed while wearing all day and night. Seiko's Diashock antivibration is implemented with Seiko's amazing in-house 7S26 automatic movement for this watch. This caliber movement has been tried and tested. It lasts. Pros: Date and day. Easy to read, great lume. Worth every penny. Cons: none. The watch strap is excellent. After a week it's much softer and very durable for the long run.

A standard strap of good quality, but when used the watch is offset relative to the center of the hand. I had to replace it. There is also a lack of phosphor on the arrows, so it is still weak in the dark. I really like everything else.

This is a nice watch, small , well made, but it's what I would call a self winding, or automatic, not a battery operated watch. It's fine except when you take it off at night it has to be re-set the next day. I just didn't pay enough attention to the description when I ordered it.

For under 100 dollars its a great value. Its an everyday type watch. Keeps very accurate time. Sturdy and no concern to damage etc. Just a solid automatic with Japanese movement. Cant go wrong

Good watch, would be 5 stars if it would stay wound. I do place this in a winding box and by the time I wear it's still at least 30min off. I wear this for special occasions only and it's not on everyday so I can't give it a fair judgment vs someone who does wear this everyday. Not that big of deal for me but can see this being a problem for someone else.

Easy to read. Nice looking.Advertising is not true to size; my watch face is smaller than I would like. Will be returning it.
