Mission: SAIN receives neglected, abandoned, and/or abused horses and other animals in emergency situations from law enforcement officers and ensures they receive necessary medical care and placement in appropriate foster care for recovery, rehabilitation, and training prior to permanent placement in approved forever homes. SAIN facilitates human-equine interaction that builds mutual trust and improves quality of life. SAIN actively advocates for responsible citizenship by engaging in efforts to educate the public regarding responsible animal ownership.
Target demographics: Animals who are seized, neglected or abadoned and in the custody of Skagit County Sheriff Department Animal Control
