Mission: Established in 1969 by Governor Tom McCall, SOLVE (dba) is an organization that brings together government agencies, businesses, community groups, students and individual volunteers in programs and projects to enhance the livability of Oregon. Each year SOLVE provides resources to communities throughout Oregon, focusing on cleanup and enhancement projects involving non-native plant removal and replacement with native plants. SOLVE creates an average of 50,000 volunteer opportunities across the state annually. Since 1997, SOLVE has provided an estimated $60,000,000 in service to Oregon. (Less)
