The manufacturer or seller shows that the internal diameter of the hole is 5/8 when in fact it is 7/8. I measured the hose connection in our toilet and it was 1/2 so as this is advertised as fitting a 1/2 pipe I ordered the set.Yes it does go around the 1/2 pipe/hose, but it is not a secure fit. It is loose as there is still 3/8 left of this plate so consequently, it is loose as goose. It does not fit securely to the pipe nor to the wall so I will have to figure out a way of using a double sided tape to secure to the wall. But still, it will fit loosely over the hose. Not good as this leaves room for insects to crawl to this space (I had to stuff some bubble wrap into the hole as I did not have any steel wool).If it is advertised as fitting a 1/2 pipe/hose, should we not expect it to fit snugly covering the whole firmly up against the wall? I thought so. Also, this is a very small plate only measuring 3 7/8 wide.Yes it is nice and shiny and it is split like I wanted it but it hanging loosely is a bummer.

Easy to install. Great replacement to replace that rusted flange.

I was under the impression that the product was chrome plated stainless steel. It wasn't, but the finish is very good.
