IT WAS JUST THE SAME AS THE ONE IT REPLACED WITH OUT A KEY SO MUCH CHEAPERI HAD LOTS OF KEEPERS BUT I HAD TO USE THE OLD ONE FROM THE OTHER LOCK _ I COULD HAVE USWD A SHIM TO TIGHTEN ITGOOD PRODUCT

They fit our two older style type mailboxes just fine. Come with two keys each and are soundly made. Lots of level options to choose from to make them fit almost any box type.

Very easy to install. Fits most standard mailbox lock cylinders. Good value for the price! Quick delivery so I was able to replace a missing mailbox lock/ key very quickly. The mailman and I were both very pleased.

With the help of my mailman (thanks Mark!), I was able to removed and take out the existing mechanism. He then explained how to put in the new one without too much of a fuss. Once I was able to find the right lock for my box, I was able to put it in no problem. Get a wrench and a flat head screwdriver and you are all set!

Despite the fact that my mailbox lock had broken and the door was hanging open, the mailman continued to deliver mail. We had previously misplaced a key, for which I had paid a locksmith $100 to come out. He simply changed the lock and provided us with new keys. I wanted to try if I could do it myself this time. A screwdriver and pliers are required. The most difficult step was putting the lock in reverse, which prevented the lock from latching all the way to close the door. It was simple after I discovered that out, after trying every single provided latch. The clasp that connects it to the inside of the door fit easily. Simply observe how your old lock emerges and keep the old latch in case the new ones don't fit.
