My 5 year old daughter is so excited and enthusiastic about learning to read with these books. Seeing that she can actually read these books gives her the confidence to keep on reading. These are great beginner books!

The Bob Books have made teaching my child to read seem easy. It is hard work for her, but the books are small and have funny stories, so it doesn’t seem insurmountable. She had a good foundation in the phonics of the letters before beginning the series, but these have really helped us work on reading a little every day.

I really like the BOB books because they help emerging readers to feel successful. Books are simple in both words and pictures, and non-intimidating.

This is my second Set 1, as sometime between the first kid and the third several of them disappeared... I don’t know what magic these books use to get kids to understand reading, but it WORKS!! My kids enjoy the stories, they are cute and funny- but I think it’s how short they are, they give a kid a sense of success- they want to keep going! These are amazing :)

Great beginners set learning phonics. My 4 year old read the first book all by himself tonight after ten min of practice a few days ago and already wants to read the rest!

We love the BOB books series. They have been great to aide in our sons learning to read. Added 1 book each night to his usual kindergarten homework bag. These are nice because they are made for learning to read, they are fairly short and interesting for the child.

Amazing books!! Had been trying to practice reading with my 5 year old and he was frustrated until I ordered these books! He literally said “Mom, I didn’t know reading could be so fun, can we read another one!”

Within about 10 minutes of the package arriving my five-year-old daughter read her first book to me. It would be hard to describe how excited and proud and encouraged she felt. I was excited, too! Listen, the story is hardly a story. The art is marginal. But that's not the point. The point of these Bob Books is to get a child to read, and to encourage them to read more. That's what happened with us. A very profitable $10 spent.

I use these in combination with flash cards and Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. Bob books really breathed new life into my kindergartener's reading. He got really stale when we came back after Christmas break (we homeschool), and I couldn't get him to read for the life of me. He just wanted to do math because it was more interesting. Enter Bob books. Now, he loves reading again, and reading a 34;whole entire book34; has inspired him. He loves that they get harder as he goes, and he feels really accomplished.
