Recommend highly These are decodable . Has just a few sight words, wish they were show in the beginning of the book. Sight words-- 'the' in most books, 7-- to for, 9-- s for plurals 10-- pink. 12-- into I cover the pictures and have child read, then I uncover picture for confirmation and reading comprehension. I want kids to read words and not pictures. Great price!

I am a teacher that now homeschools my dyslexic daughter. These books are awesome for phonics instruction and sight words. We have all of the sets and read about 4-5 a day.

Bob Books are wonderful for emerging readers! As a kindergarten teacher, I have recommended these books to countless parents throughout the years. I bought this set for my 4 year old great niece, as she is very interested in reading. These books give young children confidence and joy on their road to successful reading!

The set is fabulous. I purchased for my granddaughter at age 4. She wasn't ready. When she turned 5 and went to Kindergarten she began learning to read some of these very words.

They work! After a week of reading these, my 3.5 year old went from sounding out words to reading 60-page Dr. Seuss books by himself.

We purchased several sets of Bob Books and I feel they are some of the best beginner reader books out there. I have twins in kindergarten and they love these books. They are just the right length and have repetitive words throughout. The graphics are very basic, so I was concerned they wouldn't like them. I found that this is actually very beneficial because then the graphics are not a distraction.

Awesome books for breaking my son into reading. He is age 3 and these books are really helping him to finally make the leap from just making letter sounds to forming words! Also he loves the simple stories!

This is the second set of these books that I've bought. The first was 6 years ago to teach my first child to read and now again with another child. If your child already has a basic understanding of letter sounds, teaching them to read these books will be a breeze!
