My only prpblem with this tool is the requirement to use an extention cord to run a connection to a point to connect to AC to avoid raising the hood. I use it with my Corvette because it is not driven much in Winter.

I don't drive much (don't have anywhere to go honestly) as a consequence of this my SUV battery kept dying on me. There's nothing wrong with the battery or the car, just simply letting it sit for extended periods, causes a slow drain. After installing this (took maybe 10 mins or less), I just plug up an extension cord into the garage this little guy keeps the battery at optimal charge, performance longer lifespan. Whenever I need to go anyway, I just pop the hood unplug the extension cord go. Have not had a single issue since.

My big battery in my security gate in my driveway kept running down. Turns out that it was because it wasn't getting charged by the electricity from my house because the charger was bad. I bought this one, it charged the battery and my gate has been working perfectly since. Sure beat having to call a gate company to come out and charge me several hundreds of dollars for a $30.00 item the I was easily able to replace myself.

Since the pandemic began, I rarely use my car. Every time I did go to use it, I had to drag out my battery charger to jump start the vehicle. That took a lot more time than I wanted to spend and was far too frequent. With the trickle charging device, that's a headache I no longer have. I just hit the starter button and, Voila! Now, it takes a few seconds to disconnect the extension cord, and I can drive away secure in the knowledge that the car will start when I need it to do so..

I have installed one of these on all equipment that has a battery / starter for 20 years. I pulled the first one I bought off a 25 year old lawn tractor, left to rot in the back yard, and it still worked! They are simple to use, easy to install, are used outside (not sure I'm supposed to but they get wet just fine for me), and maintain batteries exceptionally well. I've got a near perfect battery in a 20 year old tractor and 2005 automobile because I use this device fairly regularly. Three ways to install (zip tie, command strip, or screws. I have always used screws. Highly recommended.

My 1977 MGB had a Schumacher SE 112S maintainer installed when I bought it and did a great job of maintaining my Interstate MT-24 battery for 17 years! However, after putting in a new battery it didn't sound right and the charge light never came on so I purchased the SC1300 as a replacement.I needed to extend the wires to the battery and found the prior install had done the same. I tested with the extended wires and all was OK so made some permanent connections. The wires from the unit to the battery are around 12 inches without extending. The new unit works well and the lights are clear and obvious of the current state. Hoping this will perform well and also make the current battery last 17 years! Unfortunately this didn't have the same mounting options so I couldn't re-use the existing mounting hardware.

Bought this to install on my Porsche 911 to keep the battery fresh. Was hoping to install somewhat elegantly in the frunk but had to modify the cables to attach the tender to the battery. Since the plug end is too short, I'm not able to leave it connected without leaving the frunk lid slightly open. I like Schumacher products but, not unlike the other reviewers, would have preferred 2-3' of cables on both sides.

Have a lawn tractor with a battery. Don't use in the summer months (use as a snow plow in the winter) and need to maintain charge in the battery. This unit works well for my purposes.
