Scotty rod holders work very well. We have put two on our current boat and had two on the boat previous to this one. So far we have had zero issues with them. I would recommend these rod holders to anyone.

I bought this mount to go into my Ascend D10 it fits perfectly. I love the fact you can quickly pop it off if you dont need it & it has stood up well on many fishing trips. My only complaint is it does not rotate unless you remove it from the mount and place it back down.... It would be a knock out 5 star product if it could swivel and lock without having to pick it up everytime

Would be 5 stars but the backing plates used to install these holders wasted 3 hrs of my life and caused major frustration. Junk Hardware. The bolts strip ridiculously easy.

Perfect for my carolina skiff. Base mounts stay put and rod holders are easily removed if you're not fishing. Boat looks good as well. First fishing trip landed on average 30-36 inch blues. Rods holders work and look perfect!

I purchased the Scotty backing plate as well. The supplied bolts went into the nylon nuts and all four of them stuck. Three broke loose and snapped the bolt. The fourth one stripped and I had to use a hacksaw to cut it off. Luckily, there was enough room for the hacksaw to cut the bolt. Needless to say, I scratched my boat and had a wonderful time with all of this frustration. I like the whole system, but they supplied nylon nuts are worthless. I had to go to Lowe's and buy replacement bolts and nuts for another $4. The plastic got all scratched up on the rod holder as well as the backing plate. Not very happy with this whole installation process.

Very sturdy and easy to operate. The base is interchangeable with other Scotty brand rod holders. This makes it easy to switch between the spinning and the baitcasting rod holders. This particular one is made for baitcasting reels. Though a spinning reel can fit, it will be facing upward, with the reel above the rod.<br /><br />I have this mounted on my kayak, and I highly recommend. The only reason I do not rate 5 stars is because it does not come with mounting hardware.

when I ordered this the description was for the 241-BK-QUAD with side deck mount, sold as 4 pack. I GOT ONE. checked the description again and it had changed. wish I had screen shot it. I will for all orders going forward.
