I purchased one and the lights and sound quit working shortly thereafter. I replaced the batteries and it still didn't work. I exchanged it for a replacement and it also was faulty. So, two for two fail. It looks very cool and I still use it as a candy stash, but sans light and sound.

Bought this for an avid [read: rabid] DR WHO fan who loves it. It is a good size and the bells/whistles do not disappoint. Should you purchase this item for someone, you must commit to keeping it filled with cookies, or else what's the point?

The cookie jar was great! USPS dropped the ball bu driving to my house and not dropping it off on the delivery date. It was a Christmas gift and it was a big hit!

The battery was dead when I got it so I had to go to the store, get batteries, find the right size screwdriver etc. before I could even hear it. The top is wobbly too. But it looks great and now makes noise.

It’s a nice item but I am annoyed that it was clearly a return with some scuffs on the top and dead batteries. Unfortunately I need it right away.
