I had another, bigger rack that was sticking out too far in my basement storage room. This one has sides on it, where the other rack was wide open. The only holding it back from 5 stars is the price. It's a piece of formed/bent metal with holes in the front for your switches and patch panels. It might cost $40 to actually make it.

This is a very well made and priced rack. The only negative is one week after mounting it using the included mounting hardware in drywall it fell off the wall at 1:30AM!! Looking at the mounts the plastic Anchors actually broke (never seen that before), and there was less than 10lbs on the rack ( only three slots were used). Buy, but use different wall mounting anchors!!

It's a rack, does it's job. The accuracy of the cutouts isn't the best. The top U is blocked by the bar going across the top.

NO SURPRISES. Except that fastener hardware count was insufficient for 6 items. I got enough for only three panels. Those fasteners are expensive, if bought additionally.

Nice solid rack. Came with 12 rack screws / nuts so if you are planning on filling the full 6U you will need to purchase more. I installed an Extreme Summit switch that has left to right ventilation. There was a gap between the switch and rack wall but my switch was still fighting for air so I did drill holes on both sides for additional cooling.

Holds everything it needs. It's stable when mounted. I mounted wood to the wall prior to mounting the rack. It arrived a bit bent where the devices mount, but I was able to straighten it out with a pliers and after securing a device to the rack, it worked itself out. It organizes everything nicely. There are enough screws and mount clips to do what you need.

Having just installed some of these in a closet, the 6U versions work great: the price is excellent, they are lightweight and easy to hang by your self, they include screws and cage nuts, they are deep enough to handle all but the deepest network gear, and they are sturdy enough to do the job. I also like that they have holes for the reinforcing bar in both the top and the bottom, so you can move the bar to the opposite side and then flush mount two 6U racks on top of each other. For the money, I haven't found any that even come close.

easy to mount, make sure your power cord is a 90 degree end as there isn't much room behind when a switch is mounted in rack.

I purchased this with the 1u rack, a power supply, cable management, 24 port cat panel, 24 POE switch, and two modem lines into one (Peplink) for my home network. That rack holds my two DSL modems, Unifi Dream Machine (not pro), my Pi4 with two external hard drives.Well worth the money. I had to put the support brace on the bottom and flip it around to make use of all my space. Honestly, I don't think the brace is even needed, but that's what I did to not have floating pieces and get the full use.

Great product for the money! Other racks are more expensive and this one gets the job done. It would just be a litter better if it were enclosed and had a bottom shelf.

So the material is pretty sturdy like most people have said but not sure it was mentioned anywhere it only comes with 12 screws for a 6u case so unless your mounting things that only require one screw per side you will come up 12 screws short so pick up some M6 cabinet hardware. Also there is a cross bar in the top of the shelf so the top 1u is best used for a patch panel of something super small.
