Even if you have a dozen helpers, this tool is absolutely required. It is a bit expensive but provides perfect alignment every time and held 12’ pieces without issue. I seen no need to modify the tool as others have demonstrated, although my project was small, and I could see the plastic getting weak in time and with “employee abuse”. That said, it is manufactured from a stiff, durable plastic.You are thinking of installing fiber cement siding, so you are here looking at this tool. Add this to your cart and move onto other tasks. This tool really is that good.

These are AWESOME. I am on my 4th house with these and I beat the blank out of them, and they keep on going. I was afraid they would wear out but so far so good. And they are great with just a 2 man crew with one cut man on the ground and one guy on the staging.

Absolutely love this product not necessary anymore for three man crew. One cut man one installer can’t go wrong awesome tool definitely recommend anybody hanging siding on a house

Clamps adjust for a range of siding reveals. Make it possible for 1 person to install hardiboard siding by yourself. So simple to use, just set the reveal, install the clamp on the preceding row, and put the next piece in place.confirm its level and nail in place. So simple, a little pricey, but well worth it.

I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT WHEN SIDING MY HOUSE. AS SIMPLE AS USEING A HAMMER. ANYONE COULD USE THIS AND IT SETS YOUR SIDING STRAIT AND LEVEL. i CANT SAY ENOUGH HOW ONE MAN COULD SIDE A ENTIRE HOUSE WITH EASE USING THESE GRIPS. SOME OF THE BEST MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT, AND SAVED BECAUSE IT KEPT ME FROM GETTING OFF CENTER AND KEPT ME TRUE, AND LEVEL. OUTSTANDING PRODUCT. BUY IT, YOU WILL THANK ME LATER.

I’m a do it yourself-er and siding is always a beast when working by yourself. I love these things and wish I had bought them 20 years ago! I have not had any slippage after the first wall of RV garage.
