The lock seems like a luggage lock built into the box. I have to force the box closed while I lock it, my wife cannot lock it. Feel my paperwork and cash is safe from flame. But if my wife accesses the stuff, it gets put away without being properly closed.

This product is the perfect size, although a bit heavy if you were trying to take it out in an emergency situation. The lock is sometimes stiff.

This is exactly what it is. A fire proof box to store important stuff. You don't anchor it and you could break into it fairly easy. Very easy to pick the lock. However, if your house don't have thugs or theifs in it then it's perfect for what it's supposed to do.Very heavy and sturdy. The inside is smaller that I thought but I guess it has to be with all the fire proof material around it.

I was impressed by the sturdiness and weight of this safe which has a handle for movement about if you desire or permanent placement. The price made this a real bargain in my opinion.

It's on the heavier side, and I have more faith that it'll protect my stuff now! The lock functions easily, but it's not gonna stop a determined thief. However, I don't really care because I just wanted the fire protection!
