This safe is so heavy, I couldn't carry it up the steps myself. Built very well and spacious. Highly recommend.

For me, its just the right size. We don't need to keep much beyond some important documents such as birth certificates, passports, digital storage devices and 7 million in cash (just kidding).It fits just about anywhere which makes it convenient to access. This provides more protection against fire than it does protection against theft which is what I wanted it for.I'm glad I cannot comment on how well it performed in a real fire and I'm hopefull I will never have to!Best of luck in your search!

I realized I didn't have anything for storing important paperwork and documents at home - at least that could stand up against a catastrophe. I wanted something fireproof for sure but also portable. You certainly have to weigh in the risk of theft with this as well, since it could be easily stolen (compared to something permanently affixed to the floor, for example). My decision on this was made because, in a hurry, this could be grabbed and tossed out a window or just carried out with you if need be. It's definitely heavy duty (and a bit heavy) but it will surely do the job and protect whatever you store inside.

Needed something strong, this certainly is; get a workout hauling it out of the closet! use it to hold personal documents, large enough to place 8x11.5 papers inside - at least a ream.

The lock box is extremely sturdy and heavy-duty. It fits most normal items such as passports, money, and most medium to small items.

I haven't put it in a fire or underwater yet, and don't plan to. The lock could easily be broken into, but that's not really the purpose of this safe. It holds regular sized paper documents and feels sturdy. I'll report back if it ever fails a fire or flood.

Heavy and sturdy. I've had mine for a few years. Just got two more for my sons for Christmas. It holds everything that is important to me, such as my passport, my birth certificate, my Marine Corps discharge papers, and more.

Using this as a secure cash box. Sized perfectly for my needs, but had difficulty deciding on where to place. Because if weight (an unavoidable factor), placing where I could easily handle it was an issue for me (older female, arthritis in hands). I would like a dual lock, but am satisfied this was the best choice for me.

This safe saved me and my family thousands of dollars. We recently had a house fire that burned everything to the ground found this safe laying in the charcoals and ash of what was remained when we found it some of the fire brick has fallen off and the fire melted a hole in the side corner of the I want to say plastic but tougher the plastic and lock on the outside melts off and it seals itself and protected everything inside besides the hole but money was inside and we got new bills cause the serial numbers were still readable.If you want to spend money on a fire proof safe even a small one this one is the one to buy trust me. I'll be getting another one in the near future and hopefully not have to test it's strength not fun trust me.

It is really heavy, but to be fire and water proof, I guess it has to be. Doesn't fit under my bed like I'd planned but is very durable.
