Mission: Shadow Cats provides long term care to special needs cats in a cage free Sanctuary environment while also providing compassionate and humane resources to effect positive change in community cat populations through Trap, Neuter and Return program and spay/neuter programs. Shadow Cats Vision:Shadow Cats will respect and show compassion to all animals. We will improve the lives of abused, abandoned, feral, stray, and injured cats. We will promote spay and neuter programs, promote Trap, Neuter and Return as the most humane method of effecting positive change in feral cat populations, provide educational and informational assistance to the public, re-home socialized cats and kittens and provide medical care to those cats under Shadow Cats guardianship. Shadow Cats will further our mission by expanding our reach beyond our immediate community through designated fund programs and through motivational and inspirational leadership.

Results: Over 11,000 cats have been trapped, neutered and returned- potentially representing thousands of kittens that were not born to continue the cycle of overbreeding Over 500 cats adopted into indoor homesOver 500 cats have lived out their lives at the Shadow Cats Sanctuary. We average of 75-85 cats at any one time.

Target demographics: We target community wide areas interested in humanely reducing the free roaming cat population through TNR irregardless of social, economic or other issues

Direct beneficiaries per year: The cats benefit and the community also benefits through the humane reduction of community cats, reduction of tax burdens by reducing the cat intake numbers at city shelters. We serve as a humane option and resource for ill and injured cats as we have space available.

Geographic areas served: Primarily Central Texas but the One Life Fund is national

Programs: We actively support spay and neuter activities through our One Life Fund and by providing food, water and medical care to their caretakers. We focus on special needs cats and provide medical care to kittens and cats taken into our care.
