I have the 2.3mm that I bought to spray lacquer for woodworking. It sprays an amazing pattern. Nice flat wide and even fan. I was able to do a great job. I guess it's not good to take it apart rather rinse it out well. Turn down pressure and plug end with rag. It will bubble the thinner inside and clean it. Graco suggest buying a gasket kit if you do need to take it apart. This seems like a drag but its sealed so well I think it cleans fine without taking it apart. I don't like how it is balanced, but it sprays great.
