When we discovered retractable Sharpies, we were in heaven. Being able to open and close with one hand is a great benefit and worth the extra expense over the two-handed Sharpie. They are so desirable that we buy them in very large quantities (sometimes one gross at a time if we find a great price). We are a stained glass store. We teach classes and every one of our students gets a retractable Sharpie in their tool kit. We also use them in the store. I find it very curious that even though we never buy two-handed Sharpies, we have a ton of them in the pencil cup and we can never find a retractable one. You don't think our customers are trading them on us, do you? That's how great they are.
