Mission: Shoebox provides organizations throughout Phoenix with hygiene kits that are given to individuals experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, kids in foster care, abused and neglected children, the working poor and other in need populations.

Results: Shoebox Ministry distributes hygiene kits to agencies serving individuals experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, kids in foster care, abused and neglected children, the working poor, recovering addicts, and other in need populations. In fiscal year 2016-2017 Shoebox served 36,197 homeless and working poor individuals by providing them with a toiletry kit, new socks, new undergarments, and/or a gift-filled purse for Mother's Day. From July 1,2017 to Feb. 28,2018 Shoebox distributed 9,983 toiletry kits valued at $76,357; 3,264 new undergarments valued at $5,832.00; and 37,238 pairs of new socks valued at $55,857.This served an estimated 21,598 homeless and working poor individuals throughout Maricopa County.

Programs: Shoebox Ministry is a non-profit service organization with an ongoing program for the collection and distribution of personal hygiene kits. We work with over 60 partner organizations in the Greater Phoenix area to distribute hygiene kits that are given to individuals experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, kids in foster care, abused and neglected children, the working poor and other in need populations. In addition to the obvious health benefits of good hygiene, it is our belief, access to these items is vital to the journey back to self-sufficiency, healthy living and basic human dignity. In the past fiscal year, 07/01/2016 - 06/30/2017 Shoebox distributed 16,478 toiletry kits and 33,635 personal items serving 36,197 individuals.
