My husband is deaf so we like having some signing books around for our signing kids. I don't know where some of these signs came from though, some of them I have never seen signed the way they are illustrated in this book and we are all fluent in ASL and have been around people with many dialects. Maybe there is a baby sign language that isn't ASL we are unaware of or some of the illustrations are just bad. It makes it kind of hard to read.

Thought this book would be like our other baby signs book, that has one sign for each page. Has a lot of words per page, which isn't what I was looking for and makes it harder for my 18 month old to pick up what each sign is.

These are great!! I bought them thinking there would only be one or two signs per page but there are tons, at least 4 per page. The back has a kind of index with hand shapes to help aid in learning the sign. The pictures are cute with lots of diversity, which I love!!
