It isn't MSG, which is good in its own way, but man it does help punch up the flavor.I was a bit hesitant based on some of the negative reviews, but I'm not sure if they got a bad batch, don't like mushrooms, or were competitors dropping a bad review.I've used this on burgers, in soups, on toast, basically tried it on anything and sometimes the results are very subtle, while other times there is a very noticeable difference.I do prefer this to the plain one, but so far both are good.
