I like to use this as part of a blend with smoked paprika, chipotle, oregano, black pepper and cumin, then decide if I want salt or not. That way can control salt and heat. .

Using fresh spices makes a difference! I used this in a chicken chili recipe, just one teaspoon, and it provided that powerful kick of flavor that you expect from chili powder. I was not disappointed and experienced no ill aftereffects, either. YMMV, of course. Highly recommended!

This was just the right kick for a cookie recipe I found online. It was just a little spicier than when I ground dried ancho chilis. The savory cookies were a hit.

Really enjoyed this. Would recommend tasted really good on veggie rice bowls I make. Better price and larger bottle than I found at grocery stores. Gonna buy more when I run out.
