It did the job for me drilling through 18” of concrete. I do not plan to use it a lot so I didn't want to spend a lot of money for a fancy tool. This did the job.

This is a great hammer drill. I've had one for a long time and it finally gave out. Went back with this brand and love that it came as a set. Perfect for around the house and small jobs

This drill works great in concrete block and masonry. Haven't tried drilling in concrete yet.

Impressive performance for the money. I have no complaints whatsoever. It is not very heavy duty but tough enough to take carte of whatever I threw at it so far, including drilling 1/2 inch holes in concrete. Can't go wrong for $50.37!

I used the drill to make holes the concrete and brick. It had no trouble with the concrete, but with the brick it was a little slow. The motor didn't slow down, the bit just wasn't cutting never quickly. Took over a minute to drill 3/8 hole into the brick with a 1/4 guide hole. Amazing drill otherwise.

Recently moved and can't find my charger for my rechargeable drill. Found an old electric drill but now I need to get into some concrete. Was going to get a heavy duty monster hammer drill but don't plan on using it more than once so I searched for something less expensive and found this. I like the way everything you might need is stored neatly together. I used it to drill half inch holes into the basement floor. It seems to struggle at 4 deep but it done what it was suppose to do and now I will keep it around as a regular drill. FYI if ur using masonry bits use a little water (without getting the drill wet) to keep them from overheating and breaking.Update Nov 2021,I used it a few times now on screws in and out of wood. I gave it 5 stars but now I'll go down to 4 stars because I would prefer it to have a light and a clutch. It's too powerful for small screws so a clutch is a must. Still a great purchase.

Usually a fan of Skill products, upon unboxing and using a simple 1/4 drill pit on pine wood, I noticed the rear of the drill smoking. The tool is now inoperable as I believe the potting material from factory has issues.Only reason such a Low rating, I hope others do not have this experience as I intended to use it for hammer drill function on masonry but it didn't work well on soft pine.

As drills go, it's fine. If, however, you want a hammer drill, this isn't it. Because it's a regular drill with a hammer function, it spins WAY too fast for hammer drilling and also doesn't produce enough hammer force. If want want that, you should definite get a proper SDS-plus rotary hammer. Several are available for not a lot more than this and will do a great job of drilling through concrete. This drill is just going to burn up bits.

It's a good hammer drill for a homeowner. The chuck has a tendency to slip and if you are left handed the side handle is less than ideal but for a couple of holes it's workable

My only complaint about this product is how it arrived. My drill arrived with the box opened and the drill lightly used. This is in no way a reflection on the drill itself.

I had to hang a clock on a brick wall for my wife. I didn't want to spend more on a drill than the clock. I looked at a lot of drills. The Skil had pretty good ratings, so I bought it. Boy, does it drill fast and nice! It is a little heavy, but I am not going to be using it 8 hours a day, so it doesn't matter. I am happy with my purchase.

The perfect hammer drill for home use DIY. Great value and good quality. Love that it is corded versus another battery and charger to keep up with. Plugging into a 50' power cord is not an inconvenience in comparison to running out of power with a battery. Love this tool and it gets the job done when drilling into brick and concrete. It is not a heavy duty contractor tool to be used everyday in construction, but for home projects, it hits the target. Recommend!!

I wore down a Tapcon drill bit just drilling 4 holes using a regular drill. I knew I should have used a hammer drill but didn't have one. Watching several YouTube videos on drilling into concrete, I saw one that used this hammer drill and he recommended it (I did purchase it using his referral link). The videos looked like drilling concrete was easy. Once I got this drill I had to mount several items in our patio and it was as easy as the video! The drill goes through concrete cinderblock like butter! I was mounting a wood panel on my concrete wall and it was harder drilling through the concrete using a Tapcom bit and this drill than the concrete.The guide is very useful so I don't over drill the hole (I didn't realize it had this, but it's very useful). The drill also has a normal drill mode if you want to use it for normal wood drilling.I'm very satisfied with this drill.
