This is a simple expanding file. It looks much sharper and professional than the heavy paper orcardboard expanding files typically use. This is the kind of file I would want to bring into aninterview with copies of my resume or into a senior management review with copies of mypresentation deck. This file gives a very polished look. Please note that the file is relatively thinand can hold a pad of paper with some additional loose papers. That's about as much as youwould want to fit in here.

This Smead Cloth Expanding File expands only at the top, but it still holds a lot of paper, and it is large enough to hold a file folder as well. The cloth is a felt-type fabric, and I admit to having concerns about it standing the test of time. If it doesn't, I'll update my review.The flap and snap closure work together to securely hold all my important documents and transport them in style.On a negative note, there are openings at the bottom of each side of this folder, so if you intend to carry any small items, such as a pen, it will be lost. Also, it is a bit pricey in my opinion.No country of origin is listed on the item, and I didn't see anything on the packaging stating where it is made. Personally, I'd like to know this information.Overall, I like this Smead Cloth Expanding File and feel it will suit my needs.
