I use these for my rental business. I have approximately 200 pink Southwire extension cords. Recently started utilizing cords I purchased last season. Cords purchased in late 2022 are melting at the female end of the cord. 4 cords in 2 weeks have melted. The pink Southwire cords that I bought 2-3 years are working fine, faded and dirty, but still usable. The new bright pink, clean cords are MELTING!!! DO NOT BUY!! I paid up for the Southwire products in the past, not anymore. Quality has gone down the toilet.

It was important to me to buy made in the USA. This extension cord is everything I wanted. It is bright colored and extremely heavy duty. I purchased the 12 gauge. I use it in the winter to run a small heater in my well house. The bright color helps to keep me from running over it with the lawnmower in the spring!

Heavy duty, Merican! What else can I say. True value, badass, can take it. Packaging is garbage of course. Dont expect nicely packaged stuff (packaging is almost nonexistent, but the actual cable is brutal. Barbarian stuff

I have several of these 50 foot 12Ga cords, made by Southwire. For such heavy-duty applications, I will only use USA-made cords. I have at least 7 of these that I use for various applications -- running electricity out 250 feet to my shed; running a Refrigerator in my Garage; running my 10-amp miter Saw; running my Window-Unit air conditioner; running power from my Generators when the power goes out. I keep a cord dedicated to each of these purposes -- I'm too old to be moving them around to different areas.For lighter-duty applications, such as ShopVac, Drill, Skill Saw, I'm OK with the Chinese-made 14Ga cords, I have never had a problem with ANY of the 12GA or 14Ga cords.

You need a bigger extension cord ( you run this to the kitchen ) safely run refrigerator and small appliances, or small A/C and entertainment center . Generator are dangerous, make sure you are safe
