Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: Our motto is special needs, good deeds. We see possibilities, not disabilities. We adopted our motto "special needs and good deeds" to incorporate all of the animals outside of the 'special needs' category that we are able to help. We are a foster based rescue so all of the animals in our program are living and cared for in a loving home. #impairedwhocares #deafblindandbrilliant #adoptdontshop #deafdogsrock #itmatterstothisone

Results: Since our inception in 2013, we have rescued over 1,500 dogs and cats. Most of these animals are either blind or deaf, have severe medical conditions, or have been dumped from puppy mills. We also work to educate the public about inappropriate breeding practices that result in blind and deaf Double Merle dogs.

Target demographics: rescue pets with special needs and severe medical conditions

Direct beneficiaries per year: by taking in and finding homes for over 365 dogs!!

Geographic areas served: All of Ohio, Pittsburgh PA, areas of Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, West Virginia and Kentucky

Programs: education on inappropriate breeding practices that result in double merle dogs
