Mission: Speak Up For Kid's goal is to reach 100% advocacy for every abused abandoned or neglected child in Palm Beach County by championing the Guardian as Litem program and volunteers who advocate for the physical educational and emotional best interests of our kids, ultimately, breaking the cycle of abuse violence crime and neglect one child at a time.
Target demographics: Speak Up For Kid's goal is to support the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program to provide ALL abused, abandoned or neglected children in Palm Beach County’s dependency system with a court-appointed volunteer that advocates for their best interests. Ultimately, assuring that they do not get lost in an overburdened legal and social service system while also changing the face of the community by breaking the vicious cycle of abuse, violence, crime and neglect.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Supported the advocacy for 2000+ abused and neglected children in Palm Beach County. That support was through funding positions, funding for children to support well being, activities, clothing, shoes, birthdays, school supplies and more!

Programs: Speak Up for Kids (SUFK) mission is 100% advocacy for every abused, abandoned, and neglected child in Palm Beach County. With the vision of a community where every child is nurtured, supported, and has access to connections and resources necessary for them to know their value and reach their full potential. We champion best-interest child advocacy through the recruitment, training and retention of court-appointed volunteer child advocates. Through effective advocacy the cycles of abuse, violence, and crime are being broken one child at a time, and children’s futures are being rewritten. These volunteers are committed solely to each child’s emotional, educational, and physical well-being throughout dependency court proceedings. 640+ volunteers work with the children directly, and then in a team approach to represent the child’s best interests. Targeted Initiatives #1 STUDENTS Speak Up For Kids, STUDENTS Speak Up For Kids empowers students with opportunities to serve and speak up for children in the dependency court system. #2 Therapeutic Court, award-winning pilot, the first of its kind in the US, to serve the most complex cases in our county through a round-table team approach. #3 Early Childhood Court targets the best interests of infant and toddler child victims and their families working toward safe, permanent placement faster. #4 Foster Palm Beach in 2018, we extended our impact efforts creating Foster Palm Beach to recruit more foster families locally. #Growing Grads, a three tier program to 1)celebrate graduation 2)scholarship and 3)gather community support and provide swag!We team up with the Guardian ad Litem Program to ensure kids that children in the dependency system have what they need, from resources within the community, to experience as close to a normal life as they can while in the system. This includes providing them with a volunteer, a wide range of services, educational support, and extracurricular activities such as summer camp, retrieving band instruments, sporting equipment, tickets to school activities such as dances and prom, etc.
