Mission: Special Olympics New Jersey provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

In New Jersey, athletes participate in alpine skiing, aquatics, basketball, bocce, bowling, cross-country skiing, cycling, equestrian, flag football, floor hockey, golf, gymnastics, motor activities training, powerlifting, sailing, speed skating, snow boarding, snow shoeing, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.

Special Olympics New Jersey is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1983, and donations are tax-deductible.
