Halogen bulbs were over 12 years old so longevity wasn't a problem. I wanted a cooler, and lower powered bulb so the china cabinet can be on every evening as a Night Light allowing us to get to the bedroom without tripping over stuff. The lights are on a dimmer and a remote control, so after getting in bed I push a button and it's lights out. That same button lets me turn them on in the morning so Grandma can get us our morning coffee, safely.

The small size works great in my application and it's nice to be able to replace those hot incandescents. The color temperature is listed as 2700K but they seem even warmer than that to me. Never the less, I wanted warm white. They also don't seem as bright as I would expect from a 40 watt equivalent bulb.

These were used in a ceiling fan that has been hard on incandescent lights. So far so good. My wife really likes the extra light.

These leds are very bright and are dimmable. It takes a few seconds for the bulb to achieve full brightness.

My last R14 incandesce bulb finally bit the dust so I purchased LED as the replacement. These bulbs 2700 (warm) perform almost identical to my old bulbs including dimming. What's better is they have much less heat so I don't have to avoid touching a hot fixture. I don't know how long they will last but the price was right and I'm satisfied with my purchase.
