Mission: Since its inception in 1908, Spence-Chapin Services to Families and Children has been a leader in the field of adoption, child welfare, and permanency planning, serving some of New York City's most vulnerable children. Our mission is driven by the simple belief that every child deserves a family.

Today, we have two core areas of work: Adoption/Permanency Services and Mental/Emotional Health Initiatives.

These core areas allow us to provide Domestic, International and Special Needs adoption services - including programs for the entire adoption constellation. Further, we provide programs and services to support the well-being of families - including counseling, mentoring and community events.

Spence-Chapin Services to Families and Children is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1968, and donations are tax-deductible.
