Kind of chincy. Not well painted. Acceptable for a buck a lure.

My father says this is the best thing to catch pike. It is nice to have a variety of sizes for every situation. It is a good price, so you should grab some for Father's Day for your families fishermen.

Not too bad of a spoon. The paint is the same or slightly worse than the original design of this spoon, but it works, and is cheap. They just plain ol' catch fish. Good value!

I was disappointed with the weight of these spoons. These spoons used to be called quot;Dare Devilsquot;and they were twice as heavy and had a little devil's head on . I hope the weight change doesn't change the action.

for treble hooked lures they are good. perfer having a single hook, still gets fish, doesn't cling to everything it touches. when i have singles i change to them if not i at least flatten the barb. these GRAB and destroy anything they come near.

These spoons work just as good as the expensive ones. I catch both bass and trout with them

Solid, functional, as good as the name brand versions but at a fraction of the price.

I bought myself an original Dare Devle (a classic, red and white striped spoon) and this 5 pack of South Bend red/white spoons (which came up during my query for the Dare Devle) for the same price. I figured I would just get myself the nice one and let my boys practice their lure casting and retrieving with these less expensive 34;knockoffs34;. To my surprise, 2 of my 3 boys have landed 1534; cutthroat trout on these South Bend red/white spoons, and I don't even have a strike to my name on the original Dare Devle! While the picture makes it look like there are 3 sizes, with duplicates of the 2 smaller ones, there are actually 5 sizes. It's nice to have so many sizes available to be able to customize the cast distance, depth of travel, and profile / size presentation to the prey.

It was a whim. I fish the grass flats of Sarasota bay. I was cleaning a tackle box and there it was. A red and white spoon. It caught speckled sea trout, black sea bass, even sharks and Spanish mackerel. My only complaint is they should really come with split rings.
