I bought this tent to go in my Toyota Tacoma with the 6 foot bed. Then someone hit my truck. So while it's in the shop, I thought it would be fun to see if the tent would fit my 5x8 utility trailer. It fit Great!Putting the tent into the trailer has several advantages.1) No ladder required. I just step right into the tent.2) No wheel wells to contend with. Lots more space.3) Much easier to assemble.4) More headroom. The rails in my trailer are 21 high, that's 2 higher than my truck bed sides.5) Better gas mileage. I can haul this light weight trailer with my 1.6L car.6) I can leave the tent set up if I decide to go somewhere. I just disconnect the trailer from the car.If I'm hauling a boat and going to the lake for the weekend, or I'm going trail camping, then the tent is going into the truck. If I'm going to a state park or some other type of campsite, it's going in the trailer.

Once up, it looks and works well. Took a little more time to put up the first time!

It is my impression that this product is built reasonably well. My planned usage is for occasional solo outings of 2-3 days, or a long-distance road trip when I didn't feel like getting a room overnight for just myself. I had high expectations that the tent would perform perfectly well for these purposes. Though I am an experienced tent camper, I found this tent to be too difficult to set up alone. I did get it set up but even accounting for a learning curve, I foresaw this to be more of a chore than I personally wanted to contend with. As highly rated as this product is, I am certain that this tent is manageable for most. It just isn't a good solution for me.

I think we're really going to enjoy using this tent on road trips. Before we do, we figured we better put it up at home so as not to look completely clueless when we're out in public. It took time to work through the instructions, but they were easy to understand. It took a while the first time, but I expect it'll take less time each time we use it. It was easy to question ourselves and whether what we were doing was right... if it was too loose or too tight, crooked or straight. You just have to work through all the steps before questioning the method or the result. It may be difficult for one person to put up by themselves, as it sometimes took both of us just to place a pole in a tight pocket. But once all the poles were in place, it was fairly easy to get situated before setting up the awning. The multiple sized windows are great, the window to access the truck cab window is a plus (and one of the reasons I chose this tent) and the awning is awesome. The only con is that there is no visibility out the windows when the rain fly is on, but that's not a deal breaker. I gave 4 stars for water resistance, and while we haven't used it in real wet weather yet, I'm optimistic it'll be fine. Overall, great tent!

I have 2020 ram 8ft bed.. fit perfect. great tent for bed of truck. Easy set up and take down. Once I set it up a couple of times it only takes about 10 minutes. Works great in wind and rain.

Really well designed and a great fit in my F150. Rain fly is great, so is the patio type cover out from the door. Easy to hang a light inside and easy to erect by one person. Recommend this one.

This tent is awesome!! No more looking for a smooth or flat surface to put up my tent. The awning works great too. We were out camping for a couple days and on the second night it rained pretty hard, but the awning kept the back part completely dry. Then the next day it was nice to not have to roll up my tent in a puddle of water and mud on the ground. All of the water just flowed off over the side of the truck and none got into the bed underneath the tent. Great project, I highly recommend it.

Perfect fit. Very helpful to first assemble it on the ground and then place it in the truck bed.
