Mission: Founded in 1860, incorporated by an Act of Congress and chartered by President Abraham Lincoln on March 3, 1863, St. Ann's Center for Children, Youth and Families (formerly St. Ann's Infant & Maternity Home) has cared for the most vulnerable in the National Capital area: pregnant and parenting mothers and their children. Over the span of three centuries, St. Ann's Center has proactively addressed the evolving needs of the community. Originally founded as Washington, D.C.'s first orphanage, St. Ann's Center has also served as an adoption agency; a foster care group home; a residential facility for pregnant/parenting mothers, teen moms and their children; and an affordable day care provider for working families. Today, St. Ann's offers a state-of-the-art, transitional, supportive housing program with 24/7 wrap-around services for mothers and their children that strengthens and supports families on their journey toward stability.

St. Ann's Center for Children, Youth and Families is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1946, and donations may or may not be tax-deductible.
